3.7 Arbors.
3.7.1 Standard arbors. Standard arbors shall be manufactured of steel.
3.7.1.1 Type III, style V standard arbors. Type III, style V standard arbors shall have a 1/4 inch hexagonal shank attached to the hole saw cap by means of 1/2-20 external threads. The arbor body diameter shall be of sufficient section to resist breakage with provisions to receive and secure a 1/4 inch pilot drill. The pilot drill may extent through the arbor in lieu of the hexagonal shank.
3.7.1.2 Type III, Style W standard arbors. Type III, style W standard arbors shall have a 7/16 inch hexagonal shank attached to the hole saw cap by means of 1/2-20 external threads. The arbor body diameter shall be of sufficient section to resist breakage with provisions to receive and secure a 1/4 inch pilot drill.
